Spring foraging 2018

We identified a new Spring edible this year, Ladies Smock (above), of which the flowers and leaves are edible. The leaves taste similar to cress and the flowers are mild and delicious, and liked especially by the children.

And last year we planted a few wild strawberry seedlings in the woods and I’m happy to see that there are spreading and doing well. We look forward to some wild strawberries later in the year…
